I Wrote and Am Directing a Play for the Taboo Ten Minute Play Festival in Portland and it’s Oh so Very Much Fun!

My play “Brothers” is based on my forthcoming novel Broken Parts which is due out in August (I will be posting more excited ramblings about that soon—stay tuned.) Getting to play with my characters in 3-D is nothing short of a treat. I’ve written so much about them and from their points of view that this is even a little weird—but definitely a good weird.

brilliant and talented actors

Playwriting and directing are new experiences for me, but so far I’m loving it and everyone involved has been very supportive, not to mention that fact that I have two brilliant and talented actors who are working hard to create only the most incredible heart-wrenching dramatic performance ever. (Seriously, you won’t want to miss this. Bring tissues.)

So, if you’re in Portland, you should come to the festival on August 7th, 8th, or 9th at 7:00pm at the Clinton Street Theater. My play is just one of ten plays being performed, so there is even more entertainment to be had!
